- Broad Scope of Care: Inpatient and outpatient services include medical-surgical, pediatric care, intensive care, women's health, pharmacy, optometry, dental, radiology, and public health nursing.
- Schedule: 5-10 overnight shifts, 4:00 pm to 8:00 am per month
- Duration: 3-12 months of coverage, potential to extend
- EMR: RPMS
- Provide care to adults and children (over 18 months) routine and emergencies
- Cross cover with Inpatient General Surgery service and admit new patients into the hospital
- Provide call with consults/admissions from the ED, Outpatient clinics, and Inpatient services as well as local referral services
- Perform emergency general surgical cases and upper/lower endoscopies as needed
- Board eligible or certified by The American Board of Surgery
- Completed residency training
- ANY Valid state license and DEA
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications
- Valid state driver’s license
- Ability to meet health requirements and pass background checks
- Clean NPDP report
- Overnight 14-hour shifts (5p-7a / Weds. - Friday): $1920 per night, plus call back hours at standard rate.
- Weekend 24-hour shift (7a-7a / Sat. and Sun.): $2,880 per shift; 4 hours gratis included; standard call back rate after 4 hours in-house work in the 24 hours
- Call back rate: $240/hour any shift

The Shiprock Service Unit is the largest geographical service unit within the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS), serving a diverse population across New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. The facility encompasses the Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC), a 60-bed hospital, and two health centers: Four Corners Regional Health Center and Dzilth-Na-O-Dith-Hle Health Center. The facility provides comprehensive care, including primary care, pediatrics, labor and delivery, intensive care, family practice, urgent care, mental health, dental, and more.
