Qualifications:

Board certification in General Surgery.

This role involves providing office-based pain management services to new and established adult patients. Services include medication management, certification for medical cannabis, education/counseling, monitoring of medication compliance via PDPM and urine drug screens, minor procedures, and referral to CRNA colleagues for interventions or other specialized services.
- Practice Highlights:
- Minor procedures, including trigger point injections, joint injections, occipital blocks, cold ablation (Iovera), and Botox for headaches or chronic pain. Ultrasound guidance may be used for selected procedures, and training will be provided if necessary.
- Opportunity to provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) with X waiver (not required).
- Infrequent consultation for inpatients and ED patients in rotation with team members.
- FTE: 0.8 to 1.0 (preference for 0.8 to start)

Appointment durations would begin at 40-60
minutes to allow for orientation to site and its EMR. At an appropriate time

new patients.

Typical productivity (based on usual mix of new
and established patients) will be 12 to 16 patients per day. In general, 2 to 4
new patients per day.
·
Time for interpretation of diagnostic tests
(e.g., EEG) is provided. However, administrative time is generally not provided
at the specialty practice.
·
Locations of care/schedule (specific days of
week to be determined by facility at time of negotiation of physician employment
agreement or commencement of employment, based on available space and
operational needs at each site). Generally, sites are about an hour apart and
would require travel 1-2 days per week on average.
